http://www.yynihongo.jp/

Created by 「わいわい教室」(Waiwai Kyoushitu), a Japanese school in Hokkaido, this is a Japanese learning site that includes cute illustrations and audio. It has a number of features including dictionary, translation and text-to-speech functions.

  • There are lots of contents that beginner-level students can learn in a fun way through games and quizzes, including vocabulary for basic greetings, numbers, days and dates, times, weather, body parts and family terms.
  • Users can also enjoy learning hiragana, kanji (Old JLPT Level4) and the key points of pronunciation.
  • There are also plenty of useful tools that can help intermediate and advanced learners. For example, there is a text-to-speech tool that learners will find convenient if they don't know how to read a particular kanji.
  • It is free to register. Even without registration, lots of the contents can still be used.
