What can you do?
- Put hiragana or romaji furigana on kanji that you don’t know the readings of.
- The app is compatible with kanji that have multiple readings.
- The app is compatible with over 6000 kanji.
How to...
When you open the app, the screen for inputting kanji comes up.
Input the kanji that you would like to know the reading of, or copy and paste it.
At the bottom of the screen, press the “Read Kanji” button to attach furigana to the kanji.
For furigana, there are two types, hiragana and romaji.
To switch between them, press the “Yomi mode” button at the bottom of the screen.
The app is compatible with kanji that have multiple readings.
By pressing the “Candidate Mode” button, the readings are shown side-by-side.
You cannot search the meanings of the kanji, but by tapping the reading, the app will jump to a compatible dictionary app (Kanji Dictionary) or will introduce you to tools that you can use to learn the meaning.
